What are the requirements for EKSUTH SON admission?

If you want to study or go to School of Nursing Ado-Ekiti (SONAD or EKSUTH SON), below are the requirements you should take note.

  1. Your WAEC or NECO result must be completed. No failing of core subjects
  2. You must be a science student (good at Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics)
  3. Must be 16 years and not older than 45years old
  4. Ready to live in the hostel (staying off the campus will not pay you)
  5. Must be financially ready (you may pay close to N300k if not more in your first year)

What are the requirements for School of Nursing IDO admission?

Below are the requirements you should take note if you want to study nursing in School of nursing, Ido Ekiti.

  1. Your WAEC or NECO result must be completed. No failing of core subjects
  2. You must be a science student (good at Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics)
  3. Must be 16 years and not older than 45years old
  4. Must be financially ready (you may pay close to N300k if not more in your first year)

How is the entrance examination structured for school of nursing in Ekiti State?

The entrance exam is structured in 3 phases. See the highlights below.

  • Phase 1: Written exam (subjects include English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Current Affairs). If you pass this depending on the cut-off mark, you can progress to the second phase.
  • Phase 2: It is also written exam and same subjects as the phase one but a bit harder. If you pass depending on the cut-off mark, you will progress to the interview phase.
  • Phase 3: This purely Oral interview. As per what will be asked, anything can be asked. Dress well and be ready. You will receive phone call or text message or see your name on the notice board of those who have been admitted if you ace the oral interview.

Then, you can go ahead to make your acceptance fee payment (in my time, it was N10,000).

Ekiti State universities offering Nursing Science

Studying nursing science in university takes 5years (if everything goes on fine. No strike and no failure) and it is preferred to going to school of nursing. The reason is, after finishing from school of nursing and you want to proceed in your study, you’re still going to spend another 4years in university to earn your degree.
